Vision

To develop KHS graduates who take responsibility for their own mathematics learning, understand and reason through a variety of real-world problems, and value math as a critical resource to be understood and used throughout life to achieve critical personal, professional, and civic goals.

Content and Performance Standards
  • All students should be able to build new mathematical knowledge through problem solving (NCTM).
  • All students should be able to communicate their mathematical thinking coherently and clearly to peers, teachers, and others (NCTM).
