Do you have any previous leadership experience? If so, please explain. If not, please explain why.
I have never had an official leader role, but I am good at stepping up and taking initiative as a leader when necessary. I want to be able to experience more things where I am a leader and I think this could be a good opportunity for that.
What function does Kealakehe ASB serve on our campus?
Kealakehe ASB gives students the opportunity to voice their opinions and connect them to the school and give them say in decisions. ASB organizes school events and creates fun activities for everyone to enjoy
Why do you want to be in ASB? What skills, talents, or qualifications do you have that would contribute to ASB?
I want to be in ASB because I think that it is a good opportunity for me to experience new things and contribute to helping the well being of the students and school. Plus it will look good on my resume. I think that I can contribute good ideas and good energy overall.
Share a challenge that you have faced (big or small). How did you handle the challenge? How did you grow from it?
The biggest challenge for me was spending almost two years learning online because of the pandemic. At first I loved it, but over time I felt like I was gaining nothing. It's nice to be back in person and have a near normal school experience again. Over the course of the pandemic I feel like I learned a lot, especially I feel like I gained a lot more responsibility. This is something I never thought would happen, but maybe this was something that needed to happen in order for me to grow and become the person I am today.

Do you have any previous leadership experience? If so, please explain. If not, please explain why.
I do not have much experience with leadership. I do expect that my skills will help me succeed. I want to learn/try new things.
What function does Kealakehe ASB serve on our campus?
I believe that Kealakehe ASB helps our school improve. As students it may be hard to speak up for ourselves so the ASB can really make an impact on our school by being our voice. They also help organize fun activities for the students.
Why do you want to be in ASB? What skills, talents, or qualifications do you have that would contribute to ASB?
I would like to be in ASB to feel apart of this school. I would like to do something for my school as it does a lot for me. I love to take charge in something I believe in. I do not give up on my goals and I always strive to get better. I am also a creative person with an open mind. I think my skills could help this school grow and I believe that my creativity can help give new ideas.
Share a challenge that you have faced (big or small). How did you handle the challenge? How did you grow from it?
In life I have never tried to strive for any goals. I have been able to be self aware and I have learned that I need to take control over my own life. This has made me struggle with school work, but I started to take more notice of things and I began to pick myself up. This has made me a stronger person. Now I strive to do better every single day.

Brackett, Leila
Do you have any previous leadership experience? If so, please explain. If not, please explain why.
I try to step up as a leader whenever I can because it allows me to develop helpful skills in communication managing tasks and deadlines. I don't have much experience in having an actual huge "leader" title, but taking charge in certain situations like team projects is something I enjoy doing. I'd like to be more active in being a leader and I think this is a good opportunity for me to do that.
What function does Kealakehe ASB serve on our campus?
Kealakehe ASB helps make students feel connected to the school and involved with decisions. ASB is really important because it gives students the voice they deserve to help make campus the best it can be. They organize special events for the school and other things that can help make school feel fun and exciting.
Why do you want to be in ASB? What skills, talents, or qualifications do you have that would contribute to ASB?
I'm currently a freshman, and I think being in ASB would be a really good experience for me to develop leadership skills and grow as a person at the same time. It would be a great opportunity for me to help others feel comfortable at school. Overall, I would really like to take this opportunity to make the upcoming year as great as possible. Something about me that I could contribute to ASB would be fun and new ideas for different aspects of the school year.
Share a challenge that you have faced (big or small). How did you handle the challenge? How did you grow from it?
One of the biggest challenges has been my first year of high school and the volume of work. It's a big change from my previous years, and the standards are also much higher. I'm still working on it, but so far I've handled this challenge by getting help when I need to and leaning on others for support. Not only this, but I've gotten better at removing the things in my life that are weighing me down, which in the long run helps me focus on what matters to me, including my schoolwork. Having to face this challenge by making changes to my life has been a real learning experience. The best thing that I've gotten out of it is the realization that it's okay to remove things that are in the way of my personal growth and success.

Yes I do, I was on ASB this year (21-22) I also have past experiences as a secretary.
What function does Kealakehe ASB serve on our campus?
We plan all of the student activities, such as spirit week as well as school dances.
Why do you want to be in ASB? What skills, talents, or qualifications do you have that would contribute to ASB?
I want to be in ASB because I want to be engaged with my community/school as well as Participate in school activities. I was the secretary for the class of 2025. I am organized and will spend my time to befit the community and help others. I work well with people and am able to come to a comprises with others opinion. I feel as though I am a quintessential advocate when it comes to maintain and upholding responsibilities in and outside of of the school.
Share a challenge that you have faced (big or small). How did you handle the challenge? How did you grow from it?
Some of the challenges I've faced was this years class of 2025 student council was split into three different classes, but I was able to and manage keep track of all the important dates and events happening.
