how to draw the Bohr Rutherford diagram for oxygen  first thing you need for a Bohr Rutherford diagram is the number of protons Neutron oxygen has 8 protons the number of protons is always the same as the atomic number the number fun set oxygen has is the atomic mass which you can get from your periodic table is it boat 16 can I have to take away however many protons I had which in this case with a 16-8 gives me a and they're also happen to be neutrons in an oxygen atom nucleus  **** you need 8 electrons around the can you save it for in the shells around the nucleus I should say you're allowed up to 2 in this first cell 1/2 beer allowed up to 8 in each shell after that now I don't need another 8 I already have to hear I only need 6 so 1 2 3 4 5 6 this one two three four five six seven eight electrons good this is my boric acid diagram for oxygen notice that I put electron individually for the first four and then doubled it up that's just the convention that we have for Bohr Rutherford diagrams  if looking to draw the Bohr Rutherford diagram for an element with an atomic number greater than 20 you're going to have to do it in a little bit more of a difficult check out my other video for that best of luck
