Course Description
Spanish is a year course graded as two individual semesters, Spanish 1A, and Spanish 1B. Each semester earns you a half credit. Spanish 1 is a beginning course to learn the language, geography, and culture of Spanish speaking countries.
This course is designed for you to communicate by speaking, reading, writing, and understanding written and spoken Spanish. You will learn to communicate in everyday situations through dialogues, oral presentations, projects and group activities.
Spanish 1 credits will meet the foreign language college admission requirements. It is recommended that you take 2 to 3 sequential years of Spanish if you are thinking about going to college.
