Kealakehe High School’s Community Council (SCC) is accepting nominations for community and parent component vacancies for the 2011-2012 school year. Representatives are asked to serve 1-2 years. Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged. Anyone considering participating is welcome and encouraged to attend the next SCC meeting on Thursday, March 24 in the Cafeteria Staff Dining Room (southwest corner – makai) from 5:15 to 7:00 p.m.
The Council’s primary role is to review and evaluate the school’s academic and financial plan to ensure students’ needs are met, provide opportunities for discussions on school improvement, participate in evaluation of the Principal, request waivers, and develop and revise school policies. The Council meets monthly (3rd Thursday) in the school’s cafeteria staff dining room from 5:15-7:00 p.m.
