Supplemental Educational Services are now being provided to Kealakehe High students under the No Child Left Behind Act. This is Free tutoring in reading, math, or science for students in schools identified as “Needs Improvement Year 2, Corrective Action, Planning for Restructuring, or Restructuring.” Our school is one of these schools. Tutoring will be provided outside of regular school hours (afterschool, before school, school vacations, or weekends). There is a set amount of funds allowed for tutoring each student. All students at our school who get free or reduced-price lunch may receive tutoring. Report card grades in reading and math are used to select students. Since funds and tutors are limited, not all students will receive tutoring. Students with the greatest need will be chosen first.
