Applciations Now Available for the Relay for Life of Kealakehe High School's Steering Committee

Thank you for your interest in Relay for Life!  The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is responsible for life-saving research, education, advocacy and services for thousands of cancer patients and their families across the country.

As Relay for Life co-chairs this past year, we have taken great pride in the opportunity to serve the American Cancer Society through year-long fundraising efforts, activity planning, and the successful outcome of the 2009 Relay for Life.  We cannot achieve any of our goals, however, without a strong and dedicated Steering Committee.  The Relay For Life Steering Committee is composed of individuals devoted to the cause and willing to make this organization the most important extra-curricular they participate in at Kealakehe High.  Steering Committee members should expect to spend at least five hours per week on Relay for Life event-planning and volunteering.  This time commitment will increase in the weeks before the event, and includes work with both the individual committee on which you will serve, as well as the Steering Committee as a whole.  Please see the attached documents for requirements and expectations for Steering Committee members.

Thank you again for your participation in and dedication to Relay for Life.  We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and can assure you that further involvement in this organization will be positive and rewarding.  We look forward to the results of your application and hope that we may work together in the future.
