Good Morning WaveRiders!

(introduce yourselves)

Today is Thursday, September 28th, 2017.

It is Spirit Week, and today is Tacky Tourist Day! THEORETICALLY speaking we are all tourist in this world. ( wink … ;) ).

The KHS Travel Club is going to Greece this summer! Join us for a 13 day tour, which includes a four day Greek Isle cruise, in June 2018. Watch a video and download more information on our website. We also invite interested travelers to an informational meeting on October 3 at 6:00PM in the library. The KHS Travel Club is going places!

Winter Ball tickets go on sale October 2! The last day to buy one is on October 6. Only cash will be accepted this year as the state took away our online payment system. As a reminder, you must download and fill out a dance agreement and bring it with you when you purchase your tickets. Students without a signed agreement will not be allowed to purchase a ticket. See Young with questions.

On FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13, Ironman needs 12 volunteers from 6 a.m. - 11 a.m., to help with pre-race tasks. Volunteers will be provided with a t-shirt, drinks and snacks. Please visit the Kealakehe Project Grad website or see Aunty Shan in Security to volunteer. All volunteers earn an entry into the FREE PROJECT GRAD TICKET drawing to be held in May, 2018, plus community service credit. Mahalo.

Need a shirt for WaveRider Pride Day? Stop by the SAC Office and pick one up today. We have short sleeved shirts for $10 and long sleeved for $15. We even have hoodies for sale.

There has been a change to Friday's event for Spirit Week. Monday's events after the freshmen march showed that it was apparent all grade levels are ready for a little dancing.

Therefore, a DJ will be brought in during lunch and set up on the second story of F building so all us WaveRiders can have a giant dance off in C drive. While no spirit points will be awarded, you are still expected to bring it.

Join us in the student section at homecoming. Once again, there will be a student section reserved for you and your WaveRider friends at homecoming. So come and join us and let's make it a memorable evening for all!

Kealakehe Waverider Ohana. Kealakehe Waverider Garden Club is continuing their Spirit Week spirit and showing it by beautifying our Kealakehe Electronic Sign area from 8:30am to 10:30am. Bring your supercharged energy and spirit out the weeds and plant some Native Hawaiian Naupaka. Come join us! Bring your family and friends!

Wiki today is Breaded Chicken Tenders, Rice & WG Roll, Broccoli & Carrots, Cantaloupe, Pineapples.

Lunch today is Crispy Nacho w/Beef & Cheese & Orange Juice, House Salad, Peaches, and a milk.

Next up we have a clip from Mr. Shelor’s students, and a CNN clip.

Don’t forget - Today’s Word of the Day is “THEORETiCAL”

Thanks for watching and have a Tacky-Tourist WaveRider Thursday!
