Aloha WaveRiders!

(introduce yourselves)

Today is Friday, September 15th, 2017.

The FERAL competition between Konawaena and Kealakehe High school sports, reminds everyone how wild the fans become when their favorite team scores.

Registration for Early College and Running Start courses is now open! You can earn college and high school credits by taking HISTORY 151 in the spring semester for FREE! Other options are available through Running Start, as well as GEAR UP scholarships for free/reduced lunch students. If you want to learn more about taking college courses, there will be an informational session on Thursday, September 21st during advisory in the cafeteria. See you there!

Anyone interested in trying out for boys soccer, there will be an informational meeting Thursday Sept 21st at 6pm in the stadium. This meeting is for players and parents.
Also remember to enroll on Register My Athlete!

Underclassmen who did not have their picture taken in August should have received a PASS to go to the photographer with a scheduled time on Monday, September 18th.

Any teacher who missed the August photo session may "drop in" to the photographers located in the library workroom (north entrance) at their convenience on Monday. Then you won't have to worry about yearbook photographers interrupting your class to get your picture.

Students who have received pictures but "do not like them may return them to the photographer and retake their photo for a fee of $5.00. If pictures are "photographically incorrect" meaning eyes closed, etc., there is no fee for retakes. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Pereida in Q-101

Wiki today is Roast Pork w/ Gravy, Rice & Whole-Grain Sweet Roll, Vegetable Juice, Lomi Tomato, Pineapples/Strawberries.

Lunch today is Kalua Pork & Cabbage w/ Brown Rice, Whole-Grain Sweet Roll, Lomi Tomato, Pineapples/ Strawberries, and a milk.

ATTENTION SENIORS! Meet in the gym on Monday, September 18th promptly at 8:15 for the SENIOR GROUP PHOTO. We will take photos with and without signs. Signs MUST be appropriate and in ENGLISH.

Giving the photographers time to transition, SENIOR PORTRAIT MAKEUPS will begin at 9:30 in the SAC Office. Students have been scheduled from 9:30-3:00. If for some reason you cannot make your scheduled time, you should show up on a "stand-by" basis to be "squeezed" in. If you do not take your portrait on Monday, the only way to be in the yearbook is to drive to the photographer's studio in Hilo. Each student having their portrait taken is required to pay the photographer's sitting fee of $25.

SENIOR QUOTES... KEIKI PHOTOS... and SENIOR CASUAL PHOTOS are due next week Friday, September 22nd. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Pereida in Q-101.

Next up we have a CNN10 Weekend Review and Mr. Castro to read out loud the bingo words of the week.

Thanks for your time and have an FERAL WaveRider Friday!
