Good Morning WaveRiders

Today is Wednesday, March 29th 2017. 

Today is a B Schedule with Periods 4, 5 & 6.

Aloha !!! All Pacific Islander students. Don't forget on Friday March 31 you will be given passes to attend a special workshop sponsored by the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Your CEPA teacher will be receiving passes for you in their boxes to distribute to you.

Topics range from the college application process to FAFSA application. Also, from 5 pm to 7 pm that night, University of Hawaii at Manoa representatives will be sponsoring a parent's night at the cafeteria. Dinner will be served. Make it a family night. Hope to see you there!!!

Attention students who took the ASVAB test! Please come to an interpretation session this Friday, March 31 at the library during CEPA. You will get your score report and information about college and career resources offered through ASVAB. Again, ASVAB scores this Friday at the library during CEPA. See you there!

Waveriders! Looking to boost that college resume or a different way to get involved? If so, run for student council. We are looking for all types of students. Download your petition from the website today or see Young in the SAC office. Petitions are due no later than 1:30PM on April 6.

Aloha, this is a friendly reminder to all Quarterly Bus Riders, payments for 4th Qtr. were due 3/17/2017. If you have not yet made a payment and would like to continue to use bus services, the Department of Transportation is giving you until 3/31/2017 to have all payments in.

All passes must be this current school year, 2016-2017, and be punched by the 31st to guarantee the use of bus services come April 3rd. Bus drivers have the right to refuse students that do not show up on their route rosters or do not provide current bus passes/coupons. Mahalo to those of you who have already made payments.

Do you want to be a part of a national event?  Join in taking a pledge of silence on APRIL 21st. to help bring awareness to all the students who have had their voices silence because of bullying, harassment and anti-gay lesbian transgender language. Help to end the discrimination and unequal treatment of LGBT-Q youth across the nation.

Come to E104 during lunch on Thursdays to help with the planning and get your supplies. More information is available at GLSEN.org or talk to Mrs. Cruz

KHS Anime Club is selling Jamba Juice punch cards for $10. Each card allows you to purchace a free small smoothie, a dollar off oatmeal, a medium drink for $5, and a large for $6. To purchase a card, find Juri, Ninna, Riannon, or Mr. Balusacan in room M-101.

Students interested in summer school!! Registration forms are now on the school Website and in the front office. Summer School this year will start on June 1 and end on July 14. School runs from 8:00 am and ends at 12:15 pm. Any questions please come and see Mr Freitas at Mount Olympus, Q104. Mahalo

Do you ever visit the Kailua-Kona public library? You can get a free library card, free internet access, and low cost printing. Also, the public library offers young adult programs almost every month.

Coming up at the public library is the Aloha Teen Theater interactive play called “Melting” on April 4th from 5:30-6:30pm and another Aloha Teen Theater interactive play called “No Strings Attached” on April 11 from 5:30-6:30pm.

These interactive plays mean you watch the play and then play theater games with the cast so itʻs a great way to learn leadership through performance and its FREE

Wiki and lunch today is Italian Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Whole Grain French Bread, Spinach/Romaine Salad, Peaches Apples and a milk.
