Good Morning WaveRiders!

Today is Wednesday, October 18th, 2017.

We are now playing for Blackout. The word of the day is "WILLFUL"!

Attention Juniors & Seniors! Permission forms are now available for the Waikoloa College Fair. Come get them on the counter in the College & Career Center. Returning your form to Mrs. Davis saves your spot on the bus, so get those forms in ASAP!

Attention Sophomores & Juniors! The PSAT/NMSQT is sold out! See Mrs. Davis if you want to be put on the waiting list.

Attention Freshmen! Sign ups for the PSAT 9 are now open! Go to the accounting office and pay $10 in order to save your spot for the test. Tests are available on a first come, first serve basis.

The ASVAB test is TOMORROW Thursday in the library starting at 8:15. Sign up on the clipboard in the College & Career Center right now!

Due to longer than expected lines due to the school losing its online payment system, ticket sales for Winter Ball have been extended until TODAY. Forms are due at the time of ticket purchase.

Are you interested in pursuing a career in construction? If so, you must attend the Construction Career Day in Hilo on November 2nd! This will be an all day field trip with lunch provided. If interested, you must sign up on the clipboard in the College & Career Center by TODAY Wednesday, October 18.

Pacific Islanders - Hawaiian, Tongan, Samoan, Marshallese, Chuukese, Filipino, Yapese, Kosraen, Pohnpeian, Palauan, and all other Pacific Islanders!!! The Navigating success activity is upon us again. This Saturday, October 21 at UH Hilo. Registration for the event is all online at www.navigatingsuccess.org. There will be a brief meeting this Thursday at Mt. Olympus, Q104 to discuss transportation. Please let Mr. Freitas know NOW if you have already registered for the event so that transportation can be solidified. Mahalo much!!!

Attention aspiring thespians! The Aloha Performing Arts Company will be holding auditions for its winter show "Miracle on 34th Street" this Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. in Damron Hall next to the Aloha Theater.

Kealakehe alumni Tiffany Kutsunai will be directing and is looking for cast members of all ages. No experience is necessary and newcomers are encouraged to audition. All auditioners are asked to prepare and memorize a 1 to 2-minute monologue of their favorite holiday or winter memory.

Those auditioning will also be asked to sing “Deck the Halls” or “Jingle Bells”. See Mr. Dahlke in the library for more details.

Are you interested in Driver’s Ed? If so, our next Lottery Night is going to be October 26th at 6:00 pm in the library. Application packets can be picked up in Q-203 or downloaded from our website. If you have any more questions, please contact Mrs. Aparicio or Mr. Verble.

Lunch today is Turkey & Gravy w/ Rice & Roll, Coleslaw /Broccoli, Baby Carrots, Peach/ Pineapple, and a milk.
