Good Morning WaveRiders!

Today is Friday, September 9, 2016.

Today you should be getting your Mid-Quarter 1 progress report. Please take it home, get it signed by your parent/guardian and return it to your CEPA teacher on Monday for points.

Today is an A/B Schedule with Periods 4, 5 & 6. Next week we go to a regular 5 day week schedule with 4 full weeks before fall break.

Congratulations to this year's Homecoming Queen Mystery-Lynn Frietas and King Turi Kekuaokalani! 

Luke Swett will represent the Class of 2017 as the Prince and Mia Richmond will serve as the Class of 2017 Princess. 

Winning a spot as the Class of 2018 Princess is Courtney Lloyd. 

Representing the Class of 2019 as Princess is Annette Bell. 

And rounding out our court is Class of 2020 Princess Nevaeh Machado. 

Congratulations to all! Court members are asked to attend a meeting during wiki on Friday in the SAC Office.

Due to a conflict with a rescheduled volleyball game, the Junior vs. Senior Powder Puff game has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 27. Kickoff is at 6:30PM and admission is only $5. See you there!

Attention class of 2018 lip sync members! We are going to have a pizza party today in Mrs. Bellah’s room D-301 for those who are COMMITED to doing lip sync. If you haven't signed up and still want to participate feel free to come down and sign up!

Attention all students and faculty members. You asked for it and now you have it. The KHS Travel Club is planning a trip to Britain and Ireland this summer! Join us for a parent and traveler meeting in the library on Tuesday, September 13 at 6:00PM. You may also get more information by stopping by Young's office or visiting the website.

Interested in helping others while having a good time? Join KHS Interact Club, where we focus on fundraising a number of local and international service projects. Some of the service projects include cooking and serving food for “Meat-n-Eat” at Kealakehe Intermediate School...

Highway cleanups, providing funds to vaccinate children against polio, providing an Ironman aid station, and much more. If you're interested come to I-202 on Thursday, September 15th during ELO for more information about how you can join.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors! Sign ups for the October PSAT is happening now! Tests are available on a first come, first serve basis, so sign up ASAP with Mrs. Davis. You must sign up and pay $15 to the accounting office by September 22nd in order to take the test

Do you want to tour colleges in Southern California for FREE? Five students will be chosen for this once in a lifetime opportunity! Read the flyers posted around campus or see Mrs. Davis for more information.

Attention seniors. Yearbook needs your Senior quotes, casuals and Keiki photos before September 16. There will only be 2 pages reserved for keiki photos. Bring in your quotes, casuals and keiki photos to Ms. Zamber in I-102.

Attention seniors, if you have taken your portraits over the summer you are now able to pick them up. Please pick them up in I102 during CEPA or wiki TODAY

Wiki and lunch today is Italian Sausage Pizza, Garden Salad, Baby Carrots, Hummus, Oranges/Fruit Juice and a milk.

Okay, today we’ll be finishing the graphic organizer we started on Tuesday…so please get yours ready…or if you haven’t started one, please take out a blank sheet of paper
