Good Morning WaveRiders!

Today is Thursday, August 18, 2016.

It’s a B day schedule of Periods 3, 4 & 5 and there is no school tomorrow for Statehood Day.

Next week we will go to a regular 5 day week schedule with school starting at 8:15 A.M. and our Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24th beginning at 5:30pm.

Are you interested in traveling to the mainland and getting a private concert from the Black Eyed Pees? Do you want to expand your educational opportunities through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math? Do you like to eat lots of food? If you answered yes, you should apply for the robotics program. Kealakehe Robotics is now accepting applications to join our internationally recognized team.

The team meets on Tuesdays and Fridays and you can earn course credit for participation. For more information, see Mr. Brown in U101 or come to our open house from 3:15-5:00 Tuesday after school. Applications can be submitted online at KealakeheRobotics.org or ask your CEPA teacher for a flier.

9th, 10th, and 11th grade CEPA Teachers please pass out the picture day order forms to your students today. Picture day starts on Tuesday. Forms were put in the teacher's boxes Wednesday after school. If you need extra copies please pick them up in I102.

Students have until TODAY to pay for a parking pass to park on campus. Students with "Early Release" can park in the upper parking lot below the Admin bldg. Students parking for the whole day can park in the lower parking lot. 

Students are not to be in the lower parking lot until the end of tone bell sounds at the end of the day. Students or their vehicles identified in the lower parking lot BEFORE the tone sounds will not be issued a parking pass until the end of the 1st qtr. 

Students with "Early Release" are not to be in the parking lot or in their cars until after the period that ends their day. Students not following the procedures risk losing their parking privileges.

Attention Juniors & Seniors! It's time to start thinking about college! UNLV will be here TODAY during 5th period in the cafe. Again, that's UNLV, today, period 5, cafe. See you there!

Calling all sophomores! If you are interested in this year’s lip sync competition, please come to Mr.Mitchell's room in F-304.The meetings will be held at lunch today. Please bring your ideas and positivity! See you there!!

Are you interested in Driver’s Ed? If so, our next Lottery Night is going to be August 25th at 6:00 pm in the library. Application packets can be picked up in Q-203 or downloaded from our website. If you have any more questions, please contact Mrs. Aparicio or Mr. Verble.

Download your nomination form for Homecoming Court on the website! We're looking for 9-11th grade girls to run for Homecoming Princesses, 12th grade girls to run for Homecoming Queen and 12th grade boys to run for Homecoming King. Nomination forms are due to Young in the SAC office no later than 1:00PM on Thursday, August 25. Do not leave forms in Young's box!

Junior and Senior girls - Powderpuff jerseys are now on sale in the SAC office. Numbers are sold on a first come, first served basis. Personal jerseys are $35. See the website or Young for more information. The last day to purchase jerseys is August 24.

Wiki and lunch today is Italian Sausage Pizza, Garden Salad, Baby Carrots, Baked Beans, Oranges/Fruit Juice and a milk

Next up we have a clip and then Mrs Weiss will be on to finish up the unit we’ve been studying about happiness
