Good Morning WaveRiders

Today is Wednesday December 7th, 2016.

WaveRiders! All students, grades 9th-12th who want to be on this year's May Day Court... Just a reminder that you will need to submit your essay is to Mrs. Macatiag in D-102 no later than Wednesday, December 14th. Hula auditions and interviews will be on Wednesday, December 28th. The Interact Club is selling Candy Cane Grams! 
Send a happy holidays message with a candy cane to your friends and teachers! We are selling them for $1 each in rooms I202 and D202 and will deliver them during CEPA on Thursday's! Happy Holidays from the Interact Club!

Hey WaveRiders!! The Kealakehe Student Credit Union is having a Grand Opening in celebration of their new location in the cafeteria. Come and join us this Thursday during ELO and lunch. There will be entertainment, prizes and treats! The KSCU is sponsored by the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union.

We would like to invite all parents, students and staff to our Annual Winter Concert to be held on Thursday, December 15th. This year’s concert will be featuring Kealakehe High School’s concert band, concert choir, ukulele and vocal ensembles. Music will consist of traditional songs of the season and upbeat winter song from “Polar Express”.

Our concert will be held in the high school’s band room and will begin at 7PM. Please come and joining us for a night of fun and good music.
Students are being asked to arrive at the choral music room by 6:30PM. Choral students are being asked to dress in a black bottom and either a red, white or green top. This is a mandatory concert for all students.


Attention Juniors & Seniors! Are you interested in taking English 100 through our Early College program for FREE? Do you have a 2.6 or higher GPA? If so, you should see Mrs. Davis right away! We are still trying to fill this class and time is running out. Take advantage of this awesome dual credit opportunity!

Mr. Harrs and your counselors are now taking applications for the "Kia I Aina Kualoloa" program 2017. This culturally based, place based, Hawaiian studies program will spend eight Saturdays preserving cultural sites, removing invasive species, planting food crops and learning Hawaiian chants, language and songs.

If you are interested in learning more about your home, family and giving back to your community, your participation is welcomed. You will receive .5 social studies credit that can be used to meet graduation requirements or CEPA make-up. Transportation and food are provided. Space is limited. See your counselor or Mr. Harrs today in room E-201.


Wiki and lunch today is Whole Grain Corn Dog on a Whole Grain Roll, Baked Beans, Potato Smiles, Apples/Cranberries and a milk.
