Good Morning WaveRiders

Today is Thursday December 15th, 2016.

Just a reminder that Finals begin for Period’s 1 & 2 tomorrow. If you have permission from your Parent or Guardian, you may leave after lunch or you can stay for the Period 3 study Period.

Attention Waverider Baseball! Junior varsity baseball season officially starts December 20th. Practices will run throughout the winter break. Please see Mr. Hansen for details as soon as possible, and please be sure to complete your physical and consent forms. GO RIDERS!

Hello Seniors- Are you interested in applying for the Kealakehe SCC Sarah Rosenberg Scholarship? 
If so, please see Mr. Huitt in D203 or Mrs. Davis in her office to pick up an application. You should also be able to download an application from the KHS Waverider website soon. 

Once again, any interested seniors, please see Mr. Huitt or Mrs. Davis if you'd like to pick up a Sarah Rosenberg scholarship application. Thank you!

Ditch the Workout and join the Party!  Zumba is at Kealakehe High School Cafeteria monday through thursday at 530 to 630 pm and its FREE!! We are the only Zumba Class in Kona that offers Free classes to the community. Bring a Friend, Bring Family member or just bring em all!! 

Your Instructors Randal, Susie, Autumn, Naomi, Riley, Koko and Frank!! are very energetic and give you every style from the globe that you could experience!!  Hope to See you there!

The Interact Club is selling Candy Cane Grams! 
Send a happy holidays message with a candy cane to your friends and teachers! We are selling them for $1 each in rooms I202 and D202 and will deliver them during CEPA on Fridays. Happy Holidays from the Interact Club!

 Senior members of NHS check out the scholarship information posted under NHS at clubs on our website.

We would like to invite all parents, students and staff to our Annual Winter Concert to be held tonight. This year’s concert will be featuring Kealakehe High School’s concert band, concert choir, ukulele and vocal ensembles. Music will consist of traditional songs of the season and upbeat winter song from “Polar Express”.

Our concert will be held in the high school’s band room and will begin at 7PM. Please come and joining us for a night of fun and good music.

Attention Juniors & Seniors! Are you interested in taking English 100 through our Early College program for FREE? Do you have a 2.6 or higher GPA? If so, you should see Mrs. Davis right away! We are still trying to fill this class and time is running out. Take advantage of this awesome dual credit opportunity!

Attention Seniors! Did you know that Senior Ball ticket sales will start after you return from winter break? Start saving your money now! See the website for more details and forms. See Young with questions.

Mr. Harrs and your counselors are now taking applications for the "Kia I Aina Kualoloa" program 2017. This culturally based, place based, Hawaiian studies program will spend eight Saturdays preserving cultural sites, removing invasive species, planting food crops and learning Hawaiian chants, language and songs.

If you are interested in learning more about your home, family and giving back to your community, your participation is welcomed. You will receive .5 social studies credit that can be used to meet graduation requirements or CEPA make-up. Transportation and food are provided. Space is limited. See your counselor or Mr. Harrs today in room E-201.

Wiki and lunch today is Potato Crunch Fish Wedge, Steamed Brown Rice, Baked Beans, Rainbow Salad, Pom Swirl/Oranges and a milk.

Next up is a clip and then Mr. Murakami will be on. Later Mr. Castro will be on to continue the lesson on Kindness
