Today is Tuesday, September 22, 2015

This week we have a normal 5 day week schedule and there are only 2 weeks left in quarter 1!

Due to thunder and lightning, the powder puff game has been rescheduled to tonight. Kickoff at 7. Gates open at 6:30.

Reminder to all students! Tickets for Winter Ball go on sale this week. Tickets are $55 for KHS students and $60 for all others. See the website.

NHS new members/inductees remember our Induction Ceremony is this Friday at 5:30 in the library.

NHS members interested in helping with Donkey Mill Art Center's Cool Fusion event at Keauhou Shopping Center please sign up today in the library.

Kealakehe welcomes a new program that allows 9th thru 12th graders to take FREE college courses here on-campus. Most of these courses will also satisfy high school graduation requirements.

If you are interested, contact your grade counselor or Ms Hartney. Your CEPA teacher has a copy of the flyer about the Early College program

Students who are interested in Early College for the Spring 2016 semester are invited to a course selection activity on Monday,Sept. 21 during CEPA in the library. A parent's night informational and application event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 5:00 PM in the cafeteria. Please contact your grade level counselor if you are interested.

Portland State University visit in the library workroom during period 5 today at 1:25

Hawaii Island Landscape Association offers two scholarships for seniors enrolling in Horticulture, Landscaping or Agriculture. Pick up an application from Mrs. Hartney. Deadline is Sept. 30.

Quarter 1 PTP and EPortfolio requirements are due Tuesday, September 29. Please make sure you have all the requirements updated and then turn in the pink sheet to your CEPA teacher before the 29th.

School picture retakes AND the senior group photo have been rescheduled for Thursday, October 15th.

There is one more batch of school pictures coming. They are expected to arrive within 1-2 weeks

Wiki and lunch today is Chicken nuggets on shredded cabbage, steamed brown rice, mixed greens, apricots or bananas, and a milk

Next up we have students describing a cool program and then Mrs Weiss will be on to get us started on today's lesson
