Ms. Garcia Home
I moved to Hawaii in 1989 when I was six years old and attended Kealakehe Elementary, Kealakehe Intermediate and Kealakehe High School. I was here at Kealakehe High the first day it opened to students in 1997 and finished with the class of 2001 in our school's first ever graduation. After high school, I attended UH-Hilo and earned a BA in history and a certificate in secondary education.
I am honored to have been teaching at our school since 2006. Currently, I teach US history and an art elective called "fiber arts," in which we explore 3D art forms like crochet, origami, book binding and macrame.
