To Students and Parents Regarding the lock down today - we had an intruder on campus. Security did a great job in identifying the intruder on his arrival on campus and detaining him before he could get near any classrooms. The decision to go into Lock Down was made because the bell was about to ring to release students for passing. While the intruder was hand-cuffed and police were present, the decision was made to secure the campus until he was taken off campus. There have been many rumors and misinformation being broadcast. This includes that it was a Kealakehe High student armed with a gun. Neither of which are true. Thank you for your continued support of Kealakehe High School. Please feel free to contact any administrator (327-4300) with any questions.

The second lockdown procedure was necessitated when an altercation between two students broke out and threatened to spread off campus. A lockdown was called to ensure no further students exited campus to participate in the incident. Classes have resumed and all students are safe.
