Kealakehe High Seeks Nominations
Kealakehe High School’s Community Council (SCC) is accepting nominations for 2 community component vacancies for the 2013-2015 school years. Representatives are asked to serve 1-2 years. Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged. Anyone considering participating is welcome and encouraged to attend the next SCC meeting on Tuesday, March 5 at 5:30 in the Library (Public Hearing).
The Council’s primary role is to review and evaluate the school’s academic and financial plan to ensure students’ needs are met, provide opportunities for discussions on school improvement, participate in evaluation of the Principal, request waivers, and develop and revise school policies. The Council meets monthly (3rd Thursday) in the school’s cafeteria staff dining room from 5:15-7:00 p.m.
