Ninth and Tenth Graders are invited to Upward Bound Night. The UPWARD BOUND staff will be here on Thursday 11/29 from 4:30 - 6 PM and December 12 from 4:30 - 6 PM in the cafeteria for a Parent information/registration night.
Upward Bound is a college prep program funded by the U.S. Department of Education and has been sponsored by UH Hilo for over 30 years. The program is designed to assist high school students whose parents did not graduate with a degree from a 4-year college in developing the skills and motivation necessary to enter post secondary education institution and graduate with a bachelors degree. This program is free to the students. They provide many services including college tours on the mainland (they pay for the entire trip).
