Kealakehe High Public Hearing Addressing Student Dress Code

Kealakehe High’s School Community Council (SCC) has had lengthy discussions on the enforcement of the school’s student dress code. These discussions are moving the Council to consider adopting school uniforms. As part of the process for policy change, the SCC will host a special Public Hearing on Thursday, October 1 in the school’s Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to hear and gather input from the public on comments or proposed changes to the student dress code policy (including school uniforms).
The format will allow testimony limited to 2 minutes per person or per group represented by a speaker; there will be no discussion. Written testimony will be accepted prior to the hearing via e-mail ([email protected]) or FAX (327-4307, Attention: Parent-Community Center).
Contact Linda Jeffrey, Parent-Community Center for information (327-4300, ext. 2432 or [email protected]).
