Aloha WaveRiders!

(introduce yourselves)

Today is Wednesday, Pi day, 2018!

Attention all students, auditions for the Junior Class Talent Show are being held in Mr. Mitchell's classroom, F-304, during lunch. Auditions will last till Friday so bring your talent and a positive attitude to be a part of a magical night.

Are you 18? Diamond parking is hiring. No experience is necessary. You may contact them via email: [email protected] or call 808.329.3103

Are you interested in participating in a Driving Challenge? This Saturday, March 17 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Kealakehe High School will host its second Driver Excellence Driving Challenge.

The event will include various driving courses and traffic safety learning stations. Registration packets can be picked up in Q-203. If you have any more questions, please contact Mrs. Aparicio or Mr. Verble.

Are you interested in taking college classes while still in high school for FREE? Well you're in luck because we are offering IS 101 and English 100 this summer on our campus. This will take place for 6 weeks during the summer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 to 12. See Mrs. Davis ASAP if you want to start the application process!

Attention Seniors! Are you thinking about going to Palamanui? Do you want to see what it would be like to be a student at Palamanui? Then you should attend the College Experience Days at Palamanui on March 21st and 22nd. You will be able to tour the campus, talk to counselors, and even sit-in on classes if you sign up ahead of time. Check out the post on the school website for more information!

Attention students who just took the ASVAB! Your scores will be released at the interpretation session this TOMORROW, March 15th. Go to Colonel Furtado's room H-101 at 8:15 am this Thursday to get your scores.

There will be no Sports Bus to Waikoloa on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 6pm. If you have a sporting practice or are attending the WaveRider Learning Center, you will need to find your own transportation home to Waikoloa.

Kealakehe Project Grad would like to thank all of the wonderful student, teacher and parent-volunteers who worked this past weekend's Kona Brewers' Festival event. Your efforts received praise from the Event Coordinators and that made us proud!

Your community service ensures their financial help for this and next year's Kealakehe Project Graduation event. It also earned you community service hours and a little swag from the event.

The final two fundraisers are the Lavaman Triathlon next week, March 25, and Visitors' Industry Charity Walk, on May 5, 2018. We are looking for JUNIORS to PAY IT FORWARD by helping at these events.

If you live in Waikoloa or are willing to drive or carpool there for these events, please register for and get more details from the school librarians next week. Thank you, again, Volunteers, for supporting Project Grad!

LUNCH today is Pork and peas, whole-grain roll, broccoli and carrots, fresh fruit, pineapple chunks, and milk.

A little thought and a little kindness are often worth more than a great deal of money. Have a great WaveRider Pi day!
