Aloha Seniors and underclassmen. The State of Hawai‘i is recognizing biliterate or fluent in two languages students with The Seal of Biliteracy.

The seal of biliteracy is an award given by the Hawaii State Department of Education in recognition of students who have attained a high level of proficiency in, English and Hawaiian, OR English and at least one additional language, including American Sign Language, by high school graduation.

The seal will appear on your transcript and it demonstrates your employers and college admission officers that you are recognized by the State of Hawai‘i as biliterate.
