Today is Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017.

Here’s a studying tip. When you have a very abstract and difficult to understand concept, you have to make it TANGIBLE (ten-juh-bull) so that it’s easier to understand. Make it into something you can touch, manipulate, or use.

The KHS Travel Club is going to Greece this summer! Join us for a 13 day tour, which includes a four day Greek Isle cruise, in June 2018. Watch a video and download more information on our website. We also invite interested travelers to an informational meeting TODAY October 3 at 6:00PM in the library. The KHS Travel Club is going places!

Winter Ball tickets ARE on sale! The last day to buy one is FRIDAY October 6. Only cash will be accepted this year. Make sure to download and fill out a dance agreement and bring it with you when you purchase your tickets. Students without a signed agreement will not be allowed to purchase a ticket. See Young with questions.

Attention Seniors! Do you and your parents want to learn more about how to pay for college and have help completing the FAFSA? Come to FAFSA Family Night TOMORROW, Wednesday, Oct. 4th at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. Refreshments will be served. Did you know that you and your parent can create your FSA IDs now?! Get it done and save time on the FAFSA later when it opens on Oct. 1st.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors! The priority deadline to sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT is this Friday, October 6th! The test will take place during the school day on October 25th and they are available on a first come, first serve basis. To sign up, you must bring the $16 test fee to the accounting office. If you are a junior approved for free or reduced lunch, see Mrs. Davis to request a fee waiver.

NHS members please come to a meeting TOMORROW Wednesday during lunch in H203 to sign-up for October activities. The required waiver form for the Humane Society Dog Walk will be available then as well. See Mrs. Anderson with any questions

University of Rochester will be here TODAY during 1st period in the library. Make sure to bring your permission slip with your period 1 teacher’s signature. See you there!

Aloha. The WaveRider times would like you, student, staff, and administrator to take part in the Spirit week 2017 feedback survey. You will need to go on the school’s website. You must use your school e-mail account. The results of the responses will print in this week’s WaveRider Times newspaper.

Are you interested in going to the military? If so, you should take the ASVAB test on Thursday, October 19 at 8:15 am in the library. Sign up on the clipboard in the College & Career Center right now!

Girls Basketball Meeting this Thursday Oct. 5th, 2017 @ 1:00p in the library conference room. Information will be shared regarding 2017-2018 Girls Basketball Season and the required documents needed for participation as a student athlete.

Wiki today Turkey Pastrami Sandwich w/ Baby Carrots, House Salad, Watermelon/Mixed Fruits.

Lunch today is Beef Broccoli w/ Brown Rice & Whole-Grain Roll, House Salad, Baby Carrots, Watermelon/Mixed Fruits, and a milk.
