Today is Tuesday, April 5, 2016.
From now til almost the end of the year we are on regular 5-day week bell schedules.
The SCC and Hoku pa'a public hearing is scheduled for TODAY, April 5th, at 6:00 PM on the library floor. Students and the community have been invited to give feedback on Administration's waiver to reintroduce the 'I' grading policy.
Juniors and seniors, Northern Arizona University will be here TODAY during period 2 in the library, see Mrs Davis for a pass
Attention seniors, this Thursday is the first MANDATORY graduation practice. If you want to walk the line, make sure you’re in the gym BEFORE 8:15am!!
Aloha Seniors, A Project Grad representative will be available at every graduation practice beginning this week to collect forms and answer questions. Please sign up now, don't wait!
The time to run for Student Council is now! Download your petition from the website today. Completed petitions are due to Young no later than 1:30 on Friday, April 8.
NHS members, today is a read aloud program at the elementary school and they need some assistance. Sunday is Lavaman, make sure you turn in your waiver form.
The deadline for purchasing a yearbook and entering the iPad Mini drawing has been extended until April 15th due to a problem with the website over spring break. Visit jostensyearbooks.com today to order your yearbook and be entered into the drawing!
Good morning Waveriders, the clip you’re about to watch comes from the "Kia i Aina Kualoloa" program. This program can be used for college credit, academic advancement as well as for CEPA recovery. If you are interested in participating this summer please see Mr. Harrs

Please remember seniors that your last CEPA make up class begins April 25th in E-201 with Mr. Harrs. You must have all your community service hours completed before the first day of class. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Harrs or your counselor.
Seniors, there are many scholarships with deadlines coming up this month so please see Mrs. Davis right away. For example, there’s a Honolulu Club Scholarship, a Longs Drugs scholarship for $1000, several $2500 scholarships for engineering, architecture, or construction management and the Kona Business and Professional Women’s Club Scholarship. Some of these scholarships have received NO applications from our school yet!
Juniors, if you’d like to attend a summer internship program at the UH Manoa College of Engineering, please see Mrs Davis for an application packet and more info.
The votes have been tallied and the following seniors have won a spot on this year's Senior Ball Court: Ashlyn Cabatbat, Klein Ha'o, Tara Kekuaokalani,
Victoria Milone, Tom Clemen Rafanan and David Tuamoheloa. Final voting for King and Queen will be done the night of the event. A mandatory meeting for all court members will be held in the SAC Office during wiki on Wednesday, April 6. Congratulations to all the winners!
Wiki and lunch today is sloppy joe on a whole grain bun, oven fries, spinach romaine salad, mixed fruits, strawberries and a milk
Next up we have a clip and then Mrs Davis will be on to talk about a college fair tomorrow
And then we’ll be continuing the CNN videos on raw ingredients…so make sure you have your worksheets from yesterday
