10/14 Bulletin

The date has been set!  All senior citizenship classes should meet in the gym next Friday, October 21st for the Senior Class Group Photo.  We typically do two photos - one with signs and one without!  Seating is on a first-come basis, so please be ON TIME.

Attention all senior ohanas - please make sure you complete the Hall of Fame nomination forms and return them to Mrs. Pereida (or her box in the office) after CEPA today. 

School pictures are scheduled for next week, Wednesday through Friday, October 19th through 21st.  Pictures will be taken at the Kohala side entrance of the library during English classes.  Please check with your English teacher for your class's scheduled date.  All students need to have their pictures taken for yearbook and student ID cards at no charge.  If you plan to purchase photos, you need to complete the order form and pay the photographer the day your picture is taken.  Order forms have been distributed to Citizenship classes.  Don't miss out - there is only ONE makeup day in November. Extra photo order forms are available in the Attendance Office or in Room Q-101.  See Mrs. Pereida in Q-101 if you have any questions.

COMPASS Placement test will be administered on Nov. 1 and 17th due to low return of registration forms.  You must pick up, fill out and return a registration form at Mrs. Hartney's office so a UH ID can be generated for test takers.  See Mrs. Hartney.  COMPASS test scores used for community colleges and Running Start.

Grad Nite at Disneyland Hawaiian Style!  Hey all you seniors want to join in the ultimate graduation celebration, come by Mrs. McCoy's room on Tuesday, October 18, to find out the details.  This celebration consiss of 7 exciting days and 6 outrageous nights in California in the summer of 2012.  

ASVAB will be administered on Thursday, Oct. 20 in the library from 8:15 to 11:30.  Please sign up at Mrs. Hartney's door.  This test is free and will be interpreted for you on Nov. 15 at 8:51. the ASVAB is used for entry into the military but is also a vocational aptitude test to match careers to your scores.

Tickets for this year's Winter Ball are now on sale in the SAC office!  This year's event will be held at the Sheraton Keauhou Resort on December 10.  Tickets are available for purchase before school, during wiki and during lunch only.  Only cash is accepted.  You may also purchase using a Visa, MasterCard or Discover card using EZSchoolPay.  See our website for details.  Tickets are $35 for Kealakehe High School students and $40 for all others.  This year, due to capacity limitations, only 600 tickets will be sold.
