S2 Best Work and Reflection Uploads:
I am posting these instructions because a lot of you STILL did not complete the S2 BW. It is no different from S1 BW.
UPLOAD of WORK:
- Log into ePortfolio
- Click on ‘My Best Work”
- Select work sample. Complete heading.
- Go to teacher’s web page on school website.
- On teacher’s page, click on “videos.”
- Select video by clicking on it.
- Under the title, there’s a link labeled “share this video.”
- Copy the URL.
- Go to ePortfolio and paste URL into BW, then click “save.”
UPLOAD of GLO/HOM Reflection sheet :
1. Go to PTP Central on school website.
2. Find GLO/HOM reflection sheet. May use the e-fill or write in version.
3. Complete sheet and get teacher signature.
4. Scan and upload it into ePortfolio.
5. A reminder that the work and reflection files should be uploaded one BW.

Student instructor: Make Up Assignment #5
A make up of up to 8 class periods (depending of length and complexity).
Select a polynesian culture and a dance that you would like to teach. You must be able to teach both boys and girls the dance. Performance should be 1 to 3 minutes. Make arrangements with Mrs. K. to "teach" her the dance. Grading will be on your instruction - - cues, breakdown of steps, correcting the "student", etc.

Song Analysis - - Make Up Assignment #6 (2 class periods)
When dancing, understanding the meaning of the song helps to express it. Making a personal connection to the song makes it of value and when you dance, the audience can "feel it."
Your task today is to research, analyze, and make relevance of "Te Tama Maohi" and "Tamari'i No Tahiti." Be sure to cite your sources (write URL). For each song, write the lyrics, translation, and a reflection. The QUALITY of your reflections are of more importance than the QUANTITY. However, it should be at least 600 words. Share your experiences and how it relates. Also, write how you will continue to relate this in your life today and in your future. Also connect it to your academic career.

Select a video from our impromptu assignment. Write a letter to the performers. Express what you thought they did well on then offer constructive criticism in how to improve their performance. It should be at least 300 words.

Cultural Celebration Group Leader: Make Up Assignment #4
If completed correctly, answering all of the prompts, it can make up for 4 class periods. If very detailed, it can cover up to 8 class periods. Quality of work is more important than quantity.
You have been assigned to be a group leader for one of the performances for this event. The timeframe of the dance is 5 minutes - - this includes transitioning on and off the stage. You are to decide what culture you will perform, what song to dance to, what type of dance, choreograph it, schedule practices, design costumes and come up with a video introduction. Write a detailed plan of this task and how you will accomplish it.
