Dublin, London and Paris - Spring 2020

Join us in March 2020 for our trip to Dublin, York, London and Paris!
 
We will be having a parent and traveler informational meeting in the library on Tuesday, January 15 at 6:00PM.  Interested travelers are asked to bring a parent.  This trip is open to both students and parents.
 
For the first time ever, the Kealakehe High School Travel Club is teaming up with high-quality tour operator ACIS.  This exceptional tour operator is known for their safety record, high quality meals and centrally located hotels.

Mar 7, 2020 - Dublin
Arrive in the Emerald Isle. Meet your ACIS Tour Manager and begin exploring on your own. (D)
 
Mar 8, 2020 - Dublin
Begin the day with guided sightseeing that takes you past some of Dublin’s finest attractions, including the statue-filled O'Connell Street, and inside majestic St. Patrick's Cathedral, built in the 13th century. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the Temple Bar section of Dublin. Situated near the Liffey and the Ha'penny Bridge, Temple Bar boasts cafés, galleries and trendy shops. Or visit the quirky National Leprechaun Museum, which pays homage to Irish folklore and mythology. (B,D)
 
Mar 9, 2020 - York
Journey across the Irish Sea to Wales and continue on to the walled city of York. This evening, a Ghost Tour is included for brave night owls! (B,D)
 
Mar 10, 2020 - London
In the morning visit York Minster. This soaring English Gothic cathedral is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Then drive to Cambridge for a walking tour of its most famous sites, before continuing on to London, the theater capital of the world. (B,D)
 
Mar 11, 2020 - London
This morning’s panoramic sightseeing tour, led by a local guide, shows you Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Continue with a guided visit of the British Museum, home to an astounding 150 million items. You'll discover objects from around the world including the Rosetta Stone and sculptural friezes from the Parthenon. This afternoon, you may wish to visit the Tower of London. (B,D)
 
Mar 12, 2020 - Paris
Board the 180-mph Eurostar, which whisks you to Paris in three hours. An afternoon sightseeing tour shows you Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde. Later, why not stop at a pâtisserie and pick up some of the pastries for which France is so famous? (B,D)
 
Mar 13, 2020 - Paris
Start the day with a local expert teaching you how to play the traditional pastime of pétanque, an entertaining game of skill played with hollow metal balls. Later, explore the Louvre and discover masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa, the Winged Victory and the Venus de Milo. From its beginnings as a royal fortress to its current status as the world’s most visited art museum, the Louvre has long been at the center of Parisian culture and home to a collection of 35,000 works of art from around the world. Today is free to explore Paris at your leisure. Don't forget to stop at a pâtisserie and pick up some of the pastries that make France so famous! Or how about catching up on your last-minute shopping at the Galeries Lafayette or window shopping down the exclusive Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré? (B,D)

Depart for the USA. Optional Extensions and Extra Nights: Further immerse yourself in the culture and wonders of La Ville Lumière with an extra night in Paris, including the services of your ACIS Tour Manager. (B)
