What is Spirit Week (AKA Homecoming)

Simply put, spirit week is a time to celebrate our class and school.  Sounds lame?  It's actually not, students actually really get into it here.  It's actually pretty hard to explain until you see it with your own eyes.  Here at Kealakehe there are four main parts to homecoming and spirit week:
  1. Dress days - students dress to show their school spirit.
  2. Spirit games - wiki and lunches are filled with class competitions.
  3. Lip sync - this is probably the biggest and most popular part of homecoming.  Each class puts together a six or seven minute lip sync performance.  Check out the links to see examples of previous lip syncs.
  4. Spirit points - everything your class does earns spirit points.  Get the most points by the end of the week and your class wins a prize.  The competition gets pretty intense.
