Kealakehe High School Student Resource Day - March 8

Welcome!
  • You may find all the information for Kealakehe High School's Student Resource Day being held on Friday, March 8.
  • As a reminder, we will be on a modified schedule with school ending at 12:30PM.
  • While students will rotate through different workshops, a periods one through six rotation will not be done.
  • Attendance will be taken in advisory only.
Please Note
  • Hard copies of all documents will be given to students in attendance, there is no need to print your own.
  • Students will stay with their advisory the entire day.  Advisory attendance will be taken by all advisory teachers for their individual advisories.
  • All advisory teachers and students should report to the areas listed below at 8:15 to take advisory attendance.

8:15 - 8:30 - Passing Period

  • Students and advisors move to the following locations:
    • 9th grade – cafeteria
    • 10th grade – gym
    • 11th and 12th grades – library and labs
      • Students and advisors should report to the library at 8:15. Room/lab assignments will be given at this time.
      • Labs will be housed in Acellus classrooms on the ground floor of buildings E and F.

 

8:30 - 9:30 - Session One

  • 9th Grade (Cafeteria)
    • View the film “Resilience”
    • Complete the reflection on the film (found below).
  • 10th Grade (Gym)
    • Annotate the handout “An Easy-to-Use College Planning Checklist for Sophomores”.
    • Complete the following reflection on the article.
  • 11th and 12th Grade (Library or Assigned Lab)
    • Continue work on PTP.
      • All relevant PTP documents may be found on the school’s website under “PTP Central”.
      • Students should login to their portfolio and see the individual feedback left by Mrs. K. and Mrs. Teria.
    • Students who have Acellus may use this time to complete lessons.
    • Seniors who are done with their portfolio may use this time to prepare for their upcoming exit interview.
      • Interview questions are posted on the school’s website.

 

9:40 - 10:40 - Session Two

  • 9th Grade (Gym)
    • Annotate the handout “An Easy-to-Use College Planning Checklist for Freshmen”.
    • Complete the reflection on the film (found below).
  • 10th Grade (Library or Assigned Labs)
    • All sophomore students and advisors should report to the library to receive their room assignment.
      • Continue work on PTP.
        • All relevant PTP documents may be found on the school’s website under “PTP Central”.
        • Students should login to their portfolio and see the individual feedback left by Mrs. K. and Mrs. Teria.
  • 11th Grade (Cafeteria)
    • View the film “Resilience”
    • Complete the reflection on the film (found below).
  • 12th Grade (Library or Assigned Lab)
    • Seniors may stay in their assigned labs to continue work on their PTP, interview prep or Acellus.
