Good Morning WaveRiders!

Today is Friday, August 26, 2016.

Weather permitting, there will be a Martial Arts Demonstration on the outside stage between the library and cafeteria on Thursday 09/01/2016 during lunch starting right after ELO. This demonstration will focus on the gentleness of the art, followed by a question and answer session.

Attention all students and faculty members. You asked for it and now you have it. The KHS Travel Club is planning a trip to Britain and Ireland this summer! Join us for a parent and traveler meeting in the library on Tuesday, September 13 at 6:00PM. You may also get more information by stopping by Young's office or visiting the website.

The candidates for this year's Homecoming Court have been announced! See the website. Voting for court will be done during wiki in lunch in the SAC office from Wednesday, August 30 - Thursday, October 1.

"After School PE" for the Fall Semester will hold its first class on Wednesday, August 31,2016. Meet in Mr. Hartfield's room, Y-102 right after school. If you miss this class you will have to take the spring semester class. No Exceptions!

Attention seniors, if you have taken your portraits over the summer you are now able to pick them up. Please pick them up in I102 during CEPA or wiki starting Monday August 29 till Friday September 9.

Attention Seniors! Are you interested in learning more about the U.S. Senate? If so, the Schatz Seniors High School Internship Program could be perfect for you. See Mrs. Davis for more details on how to apply. 

Need more options for a part-time job? Jamba Juice and Jack in the Box in Kona are hiring. Apply on their website or at their Kona locations.

Attention seniors. Yearbook needs your Senior quotes, casuals and Keiki photos before September 16. There will only be 2 pages reserved for keiki photos. Bring in your quotes, casuals and keiki photos to Ms. Zamber in I-102.

Seniors, please make sure you are returning your signed Acknowledgement of Commencement Ceremony Participation Conditions. This very important document is due August 30th!

All girls interested in playing softball this season, there will be strength and development clinics held every Saturday during the month of September. See the school’s athletics website for more info on how to register.

There’s a Zumba Glow Party on August 27th at the Sheraton Keauhou Convention Center from 4:30 to 8;00pm

Tickets are $20! Just e-mail [email protected]. This is a benefit for West Hawaii Domestic Abuse shelters. So don't miss out, come and join us!!

Have you heard all of the robotics announcements since the start of school? Have you still not seen Mr. Brown about picking up an application? You should get on that like Mr. Murakami on his Segway. Kealakehe Robotics is now accepting applications to join our internationally recognized team.

The team meets on Tuesdays and Fridays and you can earn course credit for participation. For more information see Mr. Brown in U101 or come to our open house today from 3:15-5:00. Applications can be submitted online at KealakeheRobotics.org or ask your CEPA teacher for a flier.

Wiki and lunch today is Chicken Ala King, Whipped Potatoes, Corn & Carrots, Whole Grain Roll, Oranges/Pineapples and a milk.

Attention all, today is scheduled as our first Super CEPA…which means different grade levels are doing different lessons on different channels.

So after the next clip plays, we need juniors and seniors to stay with us on channel 45.

But freshmen and sophomores, please change your TV to channel 47 after the CNN clip.
